Mishal Husain has announced her departure from the BBC.
Mishal Husain, co-presenter of BBC Radio 4's Today programme, will leave the BBC in the New Year, the corporation has announced. Husain has been a prominent voice on the flagship morning show for 11 years and played a key role in high-profile coverage, including BBC One’s recent UK general election debates.
Having joined the BBC in 1998, Husain has fronted the BBC News at Six and Ten and contributed to the broadcaster's news channels. She will transition to Bloomberg, where she will host a new interview series and take on the role of editor-at-large for its Weekend Edition.
Reflecting on her career, the 51-year-old described her time at the BBC as being filled with “memorable moments,” highlighting opportunities to witness history and engage in national conversations. She expressed gratitude for her experiences and extended her best wishes to the BBC and its staff.
