Gregg Wallace 'showed an unusual interest in my sex life and made inappropriate lesbian jokes.'
Television host Gregg Wallace has been accused of making repeated "lesbian jokes" by a woman who worked alongside him on a travel show.
The woman, referred to as Anna, claimed Wallace was "fascinated" by her relationships with women and persistently asked her questions about the "logistics" of her sexuality. She is among several individuals from different productions who have shared similar concerns about the presenter with BBC News.
On Thursday, the production company behind MasterChef announced that Wallace would step back from the show while historical misconduct allegations are investigated.
Wallace's lawyers have strongly denied the accusations, stating that claims of sexually harassing behavior are "entirely false." Banijay UK, the company that produces MasterChef, has launched an investigation into the matter, confirming that Wallace is cooperating.
Other allegations reported to the BBC include comments made by Wallace about spanking and threesomes during conversations with the crew.
In an Instagram video posted Thursday evening, Wallace addressed the situation, saying: "I would like to thank all the people getting in touch, reaching out, and showing their support. It's good of you—thank you very much."
