Kendrick Lamar Closes the Book on Drake Feud with Super Bowl Halftime Show Jabs

Kendrick Lamar took a final victory lap in his ongoing feud with Drake during his electrifying Super Bowl halftime performance, delivering both subtle and direct shots at his longtime rival.

"You picked the right time for the wrong guy," Lamar declared onstage, just a week after winning five Grammys for his diss track “Not Like Us.”

During his 15-minute set, Lamar performed several tracks from his latest album GNX alongside a few classic hits, accompanied by a dynamic squad of dancers. The performance kicked off with Samuel L. Jackson—dressed in an Uncle Sam costume—setting the stage for Lamar’s message.

At one point, Lamar teased fans by playing the opening notes of “Not Like Us” before abruptly stopping. "I’d love to play it," he quipped, "but you know they love to sue." This was a clear reference to Drake’s January 15 lawsuit against Universal Music Group—both artists' record label—alleging defamation and harassment over the track.

Originally released last summer amid a heated back-and-forth of diss tracks, “Not Like Us” cemented Lamar as the clear winner, dominating both streaming charts and award season.

Fans on X seemed to side with Lamar, with many voicing their support despite Drake’s massive popularity. In the court of public opinion, it appears Lamar has the final word.
