Can’t rain on their ball drop

Thousands of revelers in Times Square remained undeterred by thunderstorms as they welcomed 2025 with joy and excitement, calling it an “epic experience.”

Despite the rain pouring down on New Year’s Eve, the festive crowd, wrapped in ponchos, eagerly awaited the midnight countdown. Among them was Tiffany Lopez, 41, from the Bronx, who danced to salsa music with a group of about a dozen partiers. “I’m from New York, and this is an epic experience — something a New Yorker rarely does,” Lopez said with a wide smile. “You’re in the heart of Times Square, it’s raining, and everyone is just so happy.”

Many arrived early Tuesday morning to claim their spots, ensuring they wouldn’t miss a moment of the iconic celebration.
