Mike Huckabee describes Trump’s victory as “not a comeback, but a resurrection.”
A Former presidential candidate and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee praised President-elect Donald Trump's victory, calling it “authentic” and crediting it to “a brilliant campaign.”
A During an appearance on *The Evening Edit*, Huckabee likened Trump’s comeback to a resurrection, suggesting, "He might as well be called 'President Lazarus.' This wasn’t just a comeback—it was a resurrection, and a powerful one." Huckabee went on to highlight Trump’s statement following the win, noting, "This was not just an election about Donald Trump; it’s a real movement, a genuine movement, and a complete realignment of the political class.”
A Huckabee expressed that Trump’s victory resonates with a growing sentiment among Americans who feel ignored by traditional politicians. "People are fed up," he said, "They’re tired of Democrats and some Republicans who put global interests and personal profits above American jobs. Their policies have hurt families, small communities, and farms, and finally, people had enough. Donald Trump stepped up to carry the banner, and he’s done it brilliantly."
A Huckabee credited Trump with uniting a broad coalition, adding, "It’s an overwhelming vote of support for a new kind of politics, and I couldn’t be happier."
A Meanwhile, U.S. Senator Rick Scott announced his candidacy for Senate Majority Leader on X (formerly Twitter), affirming his commitment to President-elect Trump’s agenda. “We have a mandate from the American people to support President Trump and make Washington work again,” Scott wrote. “I’m running to be the next Senate Majority Leader to do just that.”
